Reporting to VP Logistics, the Customs and Logistics Analyst will be responsible to track product flow from origin to final delivery and will oversee auditing the activities of customs brokers, freight forwarders and will be the prime contact for day-to-day import and export activities.
This is a contract role for a period of approximately twelve (12) months.
Job Duties
- Monitor all pre-bookings with service provider, website, and pre-booking approval e-mail
- Monitor to ensure cargo meets sailing date to final destination
- Manage and verify ship window versus sailing date
- Responsible to approve bookings for non Northern Reflections vendors
- Provide daily container list by monitoring port entries arrival dates, and inland rail movement
- Monitor the container daily until scheduled for delivery to 3 PL provider
- Provide weekly expected receipts and delivery update to the team
- Provide packing lists and purchase orders for delivery to 3 PL provider
- Manage and follow up with the global transport company on status of containers
- Attend and participate in weekly and monthly 3PL provider meetings
- Perform a variety of operational activities including the audit of freight bills
- Provide monthly performance analytic reporting
Requirements
- 3+ years of experience in transportation, distribution, or warehousing
- Detailed understanding of domestic and international logistics and transportation
- Has the ability and desire to build relationships through strong interpersonal and communication skills with all levels of the organization
- Solid organizational and time management skills
- Proven ability to produce a high volume of work with accuracy and is detail-oriented
- Multi-tasks, and prioritizing work effectively in a fast-paced environment to meet deadlines
- A team player who is accountable, adaptable to changing parameters, has a results-driven mindset, and values working in a collaborative environment
- Self-starter and highly motivated with the discipline to stay focused
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills and speaking English fluently

Technical Skills
- Intermediate to expert level of MS Excel
- Windows PC applications and the ability to learn new and complex computer system applications
