Ecomm/Customer Analytics Specialist

We are looking for a Ecomm/Customer Analytics Specialist who will be responsible for gathering and analysis of customer data for Northern to understand customer behaviour to drive sales growth while providing the day-to-day responsibility of running our ecommerce websites. The successful candidate will bring versatility and experience to identify, implement and report on winning growth strategies.



  • Gather and analyze customer data to assist with the understanding on customer behaviour to drive sales growth
  • Analyze current loyalty program and strategies and makes recommendations
  • Develops customer segmentation plan based on data from customer database, research projects and external supplies
  • Acts as the lead specialist towards constant delivery of optimized segmentation for offline and online campaigns, initiatives and customer research
  • Prepares and analyzes customer reports weekly, quarterly, yearly
  • Provides insight into CRM innovations through research, competitive and industry actions
  • Proactively monitors and improves customer data quality
  • Develops, tests, deploys and tracks consumer email communication
  • Evaluates ecommerce data/KPIs to understand business/customer trends and provides recommendations
  • Provides day-to-day responsibility for the running of the ecommerce websites including tools, processes and procedures
  • Other related duties as required or assigned.


  • 2-3 years’ experience in a CRM focused role. Retail experience an asset
  • College diploma or University degree in Business or related discipline
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel including the ability to understand and write formulas
  • Ability to work with features and functionalities of mainstream ecommerce and email platforms
  • Proficient understanding of web/responsive design and UX trends an asset
  • Experience with Google Analytics an asset
  • Strong organizational skills, detail oriented and ability to multi-task and meet competing deadlines often
  • A curious, analytical mind with the ability to adapt to new technologies
  • Self-motivated, resourceful and able to work independently in a fast-paced environment
  • Creative problem solver with a strong work ethic
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills
