JOB SUMMARY

  • The Jr. Graphic Designer provides graphic design solutions for in-store and online marketing communication. This role will assist the Sr. Manager Marketing and Creative Services, while also working within the marketing team.  The ideal candidate has studied graphic design, has experience in Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator and InDesign and is able to deliver high-quality and accurate work while juggling multiple deadlines.  

 

JOB DUTIES:

  • Designs promotional emails and web banners
  • Manages and executes marketing material for store requests
  • Provides copy and product descriptions for all online items
  • Produces all artwork for paper marketing items (garment tags, packaging, accessory riders, etc.)
  • Creates artwork for internal and external projects
  • Designs in-store signage and prepares files for print production
  • Maintains a library of graphics, digital records, media content 
  • Designs concepts and executes them under the supervision of the Creative Services Manager 
  • Edit/retouch, colour correct and optimize images in Photoshop for use on our ecommerce site
  • Understanding of FTP file sharing and technical functions
  • Partners with the marketing team to create visual elements for various company meetings
  • Provides elements and designs for digital and social marketing

 

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • 1-3 years of graphic design job experience 
  • Formal training in the field of Graphic Design (University, College, or other accredited institution)
  • Well versed and fully proficient with all Adobe CS Programs and Applications (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, etc.)
  • Marketing communication and web skills such as HTML5, illustration & copy writing skills are ideal 
  • Ability to adapt to new technologies as it relates to the web
  • Ability to work with features and functionalities available on mainstream ecommerce site
  • Ability to fulfil store requests and resolving store-related needs in graphic-related areas
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously and meet deadlines in a fast pace environment 
  • Effective in managing the execution of campaigns and projects 
  • Must have effective written and verbal communication skills with a strong command of the English language
  • Self-motivated, able to work independently and as part of a team 
  • Strong interpretive skills to analyze technical information 
  • Excellent client/customer service skills
  • Must be passionate about graphic design and thrive on learning the retail fashion marketing business 
  • Ability to deal with people at all levels and build trust and confidence with management and other team members
